Sue received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from North Texas University, and did graduate studies at Texas Women's University.

She has studied with many well known artists such as Ed Whitney, Ruth Winn, Charles Reid, Carol Barnes, Judi Betts, Doug Walton, Don Andrews, Frank Webb, Arne Westerman along with many talented local artists.  She feels fortunate that they have shared their talent with her.

Sue works primarily in watercolor, but  also explores acrylic, paper collage, ink and mixed media.  Her paintings are a combination of sensitive realism and expressive abstraction.

Sue has received numerous awards including purchase awards and the Grumbacher Silver Medal.  She is a signature member of SWS and ACA.

She resides in Plano Texas where she teaches classes at Collin College.
